Metro Kills Congestion Fee

On June 27th, The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority dropped plans for a “congestion fee” on developers to pay for transit projects. The Metro’s board had been scheduled to approve this fee in May; however, strong opposition from developers and other business groups effectively killed it. Instead, the board had voted to seek alternatives to congestion fees.
